The family of my mother is very practicing religious, my grandfather was pastor and my uncle still is a pastor (i <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">dont<\/span> even know if pastor is the right word for a protestant?).<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>my father died in 1992 when i was 6 and my brother 8, from that time on my mother raised us alone and did her job very very well, may Allah reward her for everything she did and sacrificed for us, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">ameen<\/span>. <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>maybe a bit similar to you i was raised christian but we were not practicing. when my father was still with us he used to take us to church every <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">sunday<\/span> but after his death we never went again, maybe just sometimes when my grandfather or my uncle had a special speech.<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div>as i became a teenager i started to doubt some things like how could <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">jesus<\/span> be the son of god and at the same time father, son and holy ghost? so i started to become even more distant to my religion&#8230;when i was 16 years old i went for one year to <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">brazil<\/span> to live there as an exchange student. i was located in the north-east, the city called Recife and though this country is amazingly beautiful it is so poor and dangerous, especially where i lived at that time! <\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div>i had really so much fear, i was afraid that i would never return to <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">germany<\/span> or at least not in good conditions! and so i started to search for protection, first physical protection, but there was none! one day i realised the only one who can protect me and support me and bring me home safe is god, and the only way for me to get close to him is by having a religion i could believe in. <\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div>i remember that in a letter to my friend i wrote her that when i get home healthy and in good condition i would start to believe in god. so, still in <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">brazil<\/span> i started to search for a religion that would be right for me, that i could believe in without <span class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">doubt<\/span> and that could <span class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">finally<\/span> give the peace to my heart and take away my fear. i started to search about the very basic ideas of any religions&#8230; i read about <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hinduism<\/span>, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">buddism<\/span> and so on&#8230; i think they had very nice ideas and beautiful thoughts but it was nothing touching my heart. <\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div>then finally i read about <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">islam<\/span>, that there is just one god who sends his message by his prophets and so on&#8230; and i felt like i came home, like i had entered a room i knew very very well but i just <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">havent<\/span> been there for so long time&#8230; i thought, why do you tell me all this, i know that this is the truth for so long time, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">al<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hamdoulilah<\/span>!!!<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div>i returned very healthy and happy to <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">germany<\/span> in summer 2003 and i believed in god!!! i returned to <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">brazil<\/span> twice in the following years for vacations just to try to realise what had happened to me and how much i had been blessed with every experience i made, maybe that was His way to guide me, to wake me up and to change my life&#8230;at <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">christmas<\/span> 2003 i met a very nice girl from <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">iraq<\/span> and i told her that i knew <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">islam<\/span> was my truth but i had no sources to get more information.. <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">al<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hamdoulilah<\/span> she helped me, gave me a <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">quran<\/span> and took me to a mosque in her city&#8230; from that time on i started to read as much as i could get&#8230; books about <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">islam<\/span>, about women in the middle east and so on and so on&#8230;<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div>when i became 18 years old i was sure that now i knew enough about <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">islam<\/span> to say that it was the right way for me, and so i converted few days after my birthday, in <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">february<\/span> 2004, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">al<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hamdoulilah<\/span>. first i told my mommy and my brother, and <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">al<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hamdoulilah<\/span> they took it very nice!!! my mother said once that she knew that when she, coming from a very religious background, raised her children not so practicing one would go back to a religion, she <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">didnt<\/span> knew which religion but anyways she knew it \ud83d\ude42 and my brother loves everything i do, hes just too cute!!! <\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div>the only problem i was facing was the fact that i wanted to wear <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hijab<\/span> like one year after my conversion. my mother was first very much against it, on one hand because she just <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">didnt<\/span> understand the meaning and advantage of <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hijab<\/span> and on the other hand because i come from east <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">germany<\/span>, and its really not easy for foreigners (or foreign-looking people) in east <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">germany<\/span>, believe me!!! so she was <span class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">afraid<\/span> that i would face discrimination or have major problems just because of <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hijab<\/span>. but after she saw how comfortable and well i felt in my <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hijab<\/span> she got very quickly on my side and supported me<br \/>\nwherever she could, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">al<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hamdoulilah<\/span>!!!<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div>after some time all my family knew about it and accepted me as i am, like always!!! <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">al<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hamdoulilah<\/span>, i <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">dont<\/span> know how i deserve all these blessings, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">al<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hamdoulilah<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">al<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hamdoulilah<\/span>!!! i <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">dont<\/span> think that <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">ive<\/span> lost friends because i came to <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">islam<\/span>, i have lost friends when i went to <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">brazil<\/span> or when i finished high-school and moved but the very important people in my life are still on my side before and after <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">islam<\/span>, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">al<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hamdoulilah<\/span>!!! after finishing high school i moved to west <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">germany<\/span> because with <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hijab<\/span> you are not very welcome in the east, unfortunately. and i <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">dont<\/span> want to live <span class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">somewhere<\/span> where people stare very angry at you and tell you to go back to your country because here you are stealing their jobs&#8230; <\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div>anyways all these little problems are nothing compared to the blessings i got. my heart feels so warm and wide, there are so many tears inside of me, tears of joy!! my life is very calm now, very peaceful and <span class=\"blsp-spelling-corrected\">serene<\/span>. i am still studying&#8230; <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">allahu<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">alem<\/span> where i will go, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">allahu<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">alem<\/span> when and whom i am going to marry someday, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">allahu<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">alem<\/span> what will happen in my future but i know everything will be like it should be because i am in His hands, i am here to serve Him and He is here to guide me and protect me and let me go through the things He has prepared for me, <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">al<\/span> <span class=\"blsp-spelling-error\">hamdoulilah<\/span>! It is not a thing that made his life of any value. It is not a thing he ever said himself. It is not historically based, but is in fact imitation of some basic bleeding god mythology such as the Egyptian Horus, and some other Celtic God who is crucified, but very familiar to Romans and that area at the time. The Catholic Church (a little after early Christianity where there still hadn&#8217;t been the conference of Nicea&#8212;I am talking after they HAD the vote to decide Jesus was the son of God) the Church inherited the mythology of Isis for Mary, and Jesus&#8217;s story became woefully similair to a that of a Celtic pagan God who has crucified on a cross and rose from the dead. Anyways, as a Muslim, there were too many holes in the story to rely on it, even raised in the strong Christian practicing background I was surrounded in (the women in that household were more similar to my Islamic beliefs than indeed many Muslims).<\/p>\n<p>Noor Dini: MashaAllah. Even during this time some major Christian groups protested and denounced the Council&#8217;s version of Christianity and rejected the idea of Jesus being God and opposed this idea as sinful and against Jesus&#8217; true teachings. But with Rome being Rome, their &#8216;put-together&#8217; voted-on version reigned supreme and is now what we know as the Catholic Church.<br \/>So Natasa &#8211; as much as we all love Prophet Jesus and respect and follow his teachings, we do not accept that he is God. And we do not accept the Bible 100% because that book has been changed sooo much in History by the Church and Kings, that to this day no Bible we read today matches word for word the oldest Bibles still in human hands. and did you know that also at the Council of Nicea these men voted on what BOOKS would be included in the Bible? The only group of people who did were the people who lived during the Messiah&#8217;s time and followed his true message after he ascended into Heaven. Jesus Himself said He was God, Paul expressed that belief throughout the new testament. Hebrews and Colossians especially defend who Jesus Christ was thought to be.
